Our Bold Vision

Our neighbors facing a housing crisis are not adequately supported by the traditional emergency shelter model; it is
ineffective, inefficient, and unsustainable.

The key for change is simple: Father Bill's & MainSpring (FBMS) is implementing a more proactive and cost-effective approach that aims to end homelessness, not just manage it.

Homelessness
Prevention

Our new housing resource service-delivery model is transforming the way we address a housing crisis.

  • Learn more about the Yawkey Housing Resource Center.
  • And learn about the Housing Resource Center being built on federal land in Brockton.

Stable
Housing

We must continue creating more stable and affordable housing for our most vulnerable neighbors experiencing homelessness.

  • Learn about the permanent supportive housing operated by FBMS.
  • Read about our first-in-Massachusetts, hotel-to-housing conversion for formerly homeless individuals.

Your
Support

Our bold plan will succeed — and serve as a national model — if we continue to receive generous support from our caring community.

Thank you for making a difference!

Strategic Plan

As an agency, we are always researching best practices, evaluating our own performance, and striving to reduce the need for costly emergency shelter. Recently, we launched our new Strategic Plan (see slides below) that allows FBMS to fully realize our vision for a housing-based response for individuals and families in need.
