Father Bill’s & MainSpring is deeply saddened to announce the passing of longtime board member Bob Pineau. Bob’s commitment to our mission began in the early 2000s as a volunteer with the Weymouth Rotary, serving meals at Father Bill’s Place. Over the years, his dedication to helping those in need grew, as did his involvement with FBMS.

Bob served on our board and played a pivotal role in key projects that have shaped our organization. Together with his wife Donna and their family, Bob made significant contributions to our capital projects, supporting critical initiatives such as Jack’s Place, Montello II, and the Yawkey Housing Resource Center (HRC). Their generosity helped provide essential resources to advance our housing efforts.

In addition to their personal contributions, Bob and Donna were key leaders in our A Path Home campaign, which secured transformational support for the Yawkey HRC. Bob’s leadership, both in service and philanthropy, was a driving force behind many of our accomplishments.

Bob’s company, Electroswitch, also played a vital role in supporting FBMS, contributing annually to our mission. Bob often engaged his colleagues in volunteering, exemplifying his commitment to creating lasting change.

One of Bob’s lasting legacies is the naming of the kitchen at the Yawkey HRC, Bernie's Place, in honor of his mother. This space holds special meaning for his family and will continue to serve as a symbol of his generosity and care for the community.
