At Father Bill’s & MainSpring, we believe that everyone deserves a safe place to live and the support to maintain stability. Our Housing Resource Centers (HRCs) are designed to be more than emergency shelters—they are welcoming hubs of hope, healing, and housing solutions.
Yawkey Housing Resource Center
Located in the heart of downtown Quincy, our Yawkey HRC serves individuals throughout the South Shore with shelter, day services, and access to primary and behavioral healthcare.
Smith Family Housing Resource Center

Opened in Spring 2025, the Smith Family HRC is a state-of-the-art facility providing wraparound support, on-site healthcare, and connections to permanent housing for individuals across the region.
What is a Housing Resource Center?
Our HRCs are transforming the way we support individuals facing homelessness. Each center offers a comprehensive, one-stop approach to care, built around the understanding that lasting change happens when people have access to the resources they need—all in one place.
Each HRC provides:
- Emergency Shelter Services: Safe, overnight accommodations with meals and support for those experiencing homelessness.
- Day Center Programs: Access to showers, laundry, lockers, meals, and case management during daytime hours.
- On-Site Community Health Center: In partnership with local providers, each HRC has a healthcare center to address urgent and ongoing health needs—including behavioral health support.
- Manet Community Health Center at the Yawkey Housing Resource Center, Quincy
- Brockton Neighborhood Health Center at the Smith Family Housing Resource Center, Brockton
Our goal is to help every guest move from crisis to stability, with personalized pathways to housing and long-term support.
An Innovative Space
 Our housing resource center model has three major components that will support people where they need help:
Day Services
Increase community access to comprehensive and proactive supports. By rapidly getting people connected to the resources they need, we increase the possibility of stability and sustained success. Those utilizing day services can access housing supports, health care, technology, meals, showers, laundry, day lockers, and connections to partner resources, including behavioral health, addiction, and recovery support.
Emergency Shelter
Continue to meet the basic needs of the community’s most vulnerable, offering easy access to services that pave a path to stability. Two dorms with showers and laundry facilities will provide those experiencing homelessness a warm, safe place to sleep. The close proximity to day services will allow guests to access health care, employment, and other assistance during and after their stay.
Invest in the most cost-effective, compassionate, and long-term solution. Our efficiency apartments are designated for individuals experiencing homelessness who have barriers to successfully accessing and maintaining mainstream housing. For as long as they need, residents will have a safe place to live and will receive case management and wraparound supports to help them address the issues that led to their homelessness and remain stably housed.
