New this year: We're excited to be hosting our Quincy Community Meal at our brand-new Yawkey Housing Resource Center!
Thanksgiving is a very special day for our agency, a day to come together and count our many blessings. We are hosting in-person Community Meals in Quincy and Brockton that are open to the public. In addition, we are continuing our expanded meal-delivery operation that we introduced during the pandemic. In total, we expect to provide meals to approximately 1,500 of our neighbors in need.
On Thanksgiving, Father Bill's & MainSpring (FBMS) will host two Community Meals open to any individual in need of a dinner. The locations and times are as follows:
- Quincy - Yawkey Housing Resource Center, 39 Broad Street, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Last seating at 1:30 p.m.)
- Brockton - MainSpring House, 54 North Main Street, 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (Last seating at 1:30 p.m.)
On Thanksgiving Day, FBMS delivers meals to households in Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree, Milton, Randolph, Holbrook, Hingham, Hull and Cohasset. Requests for meals outside designated areas will be considered based on volunteer availability.
The deadline to request a meal has passed. To check on availability, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
FBMS must raise $15,000 in order to cover the costs of providing meals to everyone who needs one this year. Make a gift through the donation form below.
We have reached our volunteer capacity for Thanksgiving, so we are asking supporters to consider donating to our Thanksgiving Fund or helping prepare meals for our shelter sites beyond the Thanksgiving holiday.
