Thanksgiving is a very special day for our agency, a day to come together and count our many blessings. Although the pandemic has once again impacted our ability to hold large in-person dinners, we are moving forward with a plan to provide meals to more than 1,000 of our neighbors in need.
On Thanksgiving, Father Bill’s & MainSpring (FBMS) will host a Community Meal in Quincy at Christ Episcopal Church, 12 Quincy Avenue (Corner of Elm St, across from Firestone Tire) starting at 12 p.m. The meal is open to any individual in need of a dinner.
Like last year, we have expanded our meal-delivery program to ensure that our neighbors in need can safely celebrate the holiday while enjoying a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The deadline for meal requests was Friday, November 19.
FBMS must raise $15,000 in order to cover the costs of providing meals to everyone who needs one this year. Make a gift through the donation form below.
We are nearing our volunteer capacity for Thanksgiving, so we are asking supporters to consider donating to our Thanksgiving Fund or helping prepare meals for our shelter sites beyond the Thanksgiving holiday.
